DTC P2118: Throttle Actuator Control Motor Current Range / Performance [09/2013 - ]: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (+BM VOLTAGE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / +BM voltage.
- Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
Standard Voltage
11 to 14 V

OK → See step 3
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the E1, E2 and E3 ECM connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E1-1 (+BM) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E2-5 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω E3-1 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- Disconnect the E1, E2 and E3 ECM connector.
- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [09/2013 - ]
- REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ]
