Customize Parameters [08/2013 - ]

  1. CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH TECHSTREAM 

    HINT: 

    The items in the table below can be customized.

    NOTE:
    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
    • Be sure to make a note of the current setting before customizing.
    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
    1. Customizing with the Techstream.
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the Techstream on.
      4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Smart key/Access or Warning.
      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        SMART KEY/ACCESS

        Tester Display Default Content Setting
        Ignition Available Area All Function that switches the entry ignition detection area Front or All*

        *: Weak radio waves will still be emitted from oscillators other than the front oscillator even when the "Front" customize setting is selected.

        WARNING

        Tester Display Default Content Setting
        Key Low Battery Warning ON Function that warns driver that key battery is weak ON or OFF
  2. CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH MULTI-DISPLAY 

    HINT: 

    The items in the table below can be customized.

    NOTE:
    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
    • Be sure to make a note of the current setting before customizing.
    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
    1. Customizing with the multi-display (w/ Navigation System or w/ Parking Assist Monitor System)
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle Customization / Door Lock Settings.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        Access System with Elec. Key On Function that enables or disables the smart access system with push-button start. On or Off Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
    2. Customizing with the multi-display (w/o Navigation System without Parking Assist Monitor System)
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle Customization / Door Lock Settings.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        Access System with Elec. Key On Function that enables or disables the smart access system with push-button start. On or Off Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
  3. CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    • Press the UP/DOWN switch on the steering pad switch assembly when changing an item selection.
    • Press the ENTER switch on the steering pad switch assembly when selecting an item.
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Press and hold the MENU switch on the steering pad switch assembly.
    3. Select the setting by referring to the table below
      Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
      ACCESS SYSTEM WITH ELEC. KEY ON Function that enables or disables the smart access system with push-button start. ON or OFF Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
    4. Press the ENTER switch on the steering pad switch assembly.
    5. The setting completion screen will be displayed.
    6. Return to the item selection screen.
  4. ELECTRICAL KEY CANCEL 
    NOTE:

    Because the key (for card type) does not have a wireless transmitter function, it cannot be used to perform the key cancel operation.

    The electrical key cancel operation disables the following functions:

    • Entry Unlock/Lock
    • Entry Ignition
    • Entry Back Door Open
    • Electrical Key Lock-in Prevention
    • Warning
    • Memory Call
    1. The operation procedures are as follows:

      Precondition:

      Engine switch off, driver side door closed and unlocked.

      1. Push the unlock switch of the key once.
      2. Open the driver door within 5 seconds.
      3. Push the unlock switch of the key twice within 5 seconds.
      4. Close and open the driver door twice within 30 seconds.

        (Driver door: Close → Open → Close → Open)

      5. Push the unlock switch of the key twice within 5 seconds.
      6. Close and open the driver door within 30 seconds.

        (Driver door: Close → Open)

      7. Close the driver door within 5 seconds.

        When electrical key cancel is activated, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice.

        To return to the original condition, perform the procedures again. When the original condition is returned, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.
