Front Passenger Side Power Window Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (P DOOR P/W AUTO SW) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the front power window regulator is functioning properly (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
      P-DOOR MOTOR

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      P Door P/W Auto SW Front passenger side power window auto up/down signal / ON or OFF ON: Front passenger side power window auto up/down switch operated
      OFF: Front passenger side power window regulator switch not operated

      OK

      On Techstream screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

    Result: 

    NG

    OK

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
    2. Check that the front passenger side door power window moves when the auto up and down functions of the power window regulator switch assembly are operated (Refer to OPERATION CHECK [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

      OK

      Front passenger side auto up and down functions are normal.

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN INITIALIZED) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 10/2015] )

  3. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the front power window regulator switch RH (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] ).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (AUTO) - 5 (GND) Auto up/down operation Below 1 Ω
      4 (AUTO) - 5 (GND) Not operated 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH RH - FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the Q9 front power window regulator switch RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q2 front power window regulator motor RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q9-4 (AUTO) - Q2-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q9-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Q9-4 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 10/2015] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
