Removal [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).

  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 10/2015] )

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  7. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts (A) and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. Disconnect the 2 connectors (B).
  8. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the terminal cap.
    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the generator wire.

    3. Disconnect the generator connector, and detach the 2 clamps.
    4. Disconnect the connector from the cooling fan ECU.

    5. Remove the nut, and disconnect the bracket.

    6. Remove the 2 bolts and generator.

    7. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 brackets.
