Installation [04/2013 - 10/2017]: Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2017 Lexus IS 350, 2017 Lexus IS 300, 2016 Lexus IS 350, 2016 Lexus IS 300, and 2015 Lexus IS 350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.
  Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)
INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET
1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.
  Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)
INSTALL ECM
1. Install the ECM to the engine room ECU box with the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)
  NOTE:
  - Install the ECM to the engine room ECU box with the name plate facing the outside of the vehicle.
  - When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other part.
  - If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

CONNECT WIRE HARNESS

Connect the 6 ECM connectors.
NOTE:
Be sure to securely connect the ECM connector.
Engage the claw to connect the connector holder to the engine room ECU box.

Connect the connector to the connector holder.

Connect the 2 engine wire harness connectors to the connector holder.

INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
1. Install the engine room ECU cover with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE:
  Make sure that the wire harness does not get caught between the parts.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

PERFORM INITIALIZATION
