How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [04/2013 - ]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard Voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [06/2014 - 08/2015] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2016 - 10/2017] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2018 - 09/2020] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2021 - 10/2023] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2023 - ]

      HINT: 

      The ECU of this system is connected to the CAN communication system.

      Therefore before starting troubleshooting, make sure to check the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  5. CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [04/2013 - 09/2018] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2018 - 09/2020] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2020 - ] 

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Trouble Codes 

    2. Check for freeze frame data.

      HINT: 

      Record or print DTCs and freeze frame data if necessary.

    3. Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.

      Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA [04/2013 - ] 

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [04/2013 - 09/2018] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2018 - 09/2020] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2020 - ] 

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Trouble Codes 

      1. Simulate the malfunction condition and check if the DTCs are output again.

    3. Hydraulic test.
