Precaution [05/2019 - ]

  1. PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • After the engine switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

      HINT: 

      When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  2. DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER EXPRESSIONS 
    1. The type of door control receiver used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this information.

  3. PRECAUTION WHEN USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. When using the Techstream with the engine switch off, connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and the vehicle begins. Then select the vehicle type under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access. While using the Techstream, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the Techstream and the vehicle.
  4. PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION 
    1. If replacing any of the following parts, refer to the registration procedures.

      1. Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
      2. Steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly)
      3. Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly

      6. ECM
      7. DCM (Telematics Transceiver)*
