Operation Check [11/2021 - ]

  1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK 
    NOTE:

    Make sure that the customize settings are set to default when performing the automatic light control system operation check.

    Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [10/2018 - ] 

    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.
    3. Cover the automatic light control sensor.
    4. Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.
    5. Uncover the automatic light control sensor.
    6. Check that the low beam headlights and taillights turn off.
  2. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK 
    NOTE:

    Make sure that the customize settings are set to default when performing the light auto turn-off system operation check.

    Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [10/2018 - ] 

    1. When the taillights are on (low beam headlights are not on)
      1. Close all of the doors.
      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the taillights on.
      4. Turn the engine switch off.
      5. Open the driver door.
      6. Check that all of the lights turn off immediately.
    2. When the low beam headlights are on
      1. Close all of the doors.
      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the low beam headlights on.
      4. Turn the engine switch off.
      5. Open any of the doors.
      6. Close the door.
      7. Check that all of the lights turn off after 30 seconds (delay function).

        HINT: 

        Before the lights turn off, if the lock button on the key is pushed after all of the doors are locked, all of the lights will turn off immediately.

  3. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK 
    NOTE:

    Make sure that the customize settings are set to default when performing the daytime running light system operation check.

    Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [10/2018 - ] 

    1. The light control switch is in the tail or AUTO position (and the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Release the parking brake.
    4. Check that the daytime running lights come on.
  4. WELCOME LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONTROL OPERATION CHECK 
    NOTE:
    • When operation of the alarm memory function is requested, welcome light illumination control will not operate.
    • Make sure that the customize settings are set to default when performing the welcome light illumination control operation check.

      Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [10/2018 - ] 

    1. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.
    2. Cover the automatic light control sensor.
    3. Turn the engine switch off.
    4. Close and lock all doors.
    5. Unlock all doors by wireless door unlock or entry door unlock.
    6. Check that the parking lights come on for approximately 15 seconds.
  5. OUTSIDE HANDLE FOOT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION CHECK 
    NOTE:

    Make sure that the customize settings are set to default when performing the outside handle foot light control operation check.

    Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [10/2018 - ] 

    1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.
      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade in and illuminate constantly:
      • A key is detected in the actuation area.
      • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off and all of the doors are closed.
      • The engine switch is off, any door is opened when all doors are closed.

      When the following condition is met, the lights that operate fade in:

      • Any door is closed or opened.
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out in 2 steps When any of the following conditions is met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out in 2 steps:
      • An actuation area-linked function is used.*
      • All doors are closed and then any door is opened.
      • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off and all of the doors are closed.
      • The engine switch is off, any door is opened when all doors are closed.
      • Any door is closed or opened.
      Fade out immediately When the following condition is met, the lights fade out immediately:
      • The engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC) or on (IG).
      Fade out in 2 steps immediately When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade out in 2 steps immediately:
      • All doors are locked when all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.
      • All doors are locked again when all doors are closed and locked.
      • All doors are closed and then any door is opened.

      HINT: 

      *: When the lights are on, if the key leaves the actuation areas around the doors, the lights fade out after approximately 3 seconds.

  6. CORNERING LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION CHECK 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Turn the light control switch to the head position.
    3. Perform the following operations while driving the vehicle at 30 km/h (19 mph) or less and check that the cornering lights operate appropriately.
      • Operate the left turn signal switch and check that the cornering light LH illuminates.*
      • Operate the right turn signal switch and check that the cornering light RH illuminates.*
      • Turn the steering wheel 80 degrees or more to the left and check that the cornering light LH illuminates. Turn the steering wheel to an angle of 30 degrees or less and check that the cornering light LH turns off.*
      • Turn the steering wheel 80 degrees or more to the right and check that the cornering light RH illuminates. Turn the steering wheel to an angle of 30 degrees or less and check that the cornering light RH turns off.*
      • Move the shift lever to R and check that the cornering light LH and cornering light RH illuminate.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal, if the steering angle sensor steering neutral point is not stored, the cornering lights may not operate as listed above in*. When disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal, perform the confirmation driving pattern to store the steering angle sensor steering neutral point.
