Customize Parameters [08/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CUSTOMIZE POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 

    HINT: 

    The following items can be customized.

    NOTE:
    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
    1. Customizing with the Techstream
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the Techstream on
      4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Door Lock
      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        Unlock Key Twice ON Function that unlocks only the driver door when the driver door key cylinder is turned to unlock once, and unlock all doors when it is turned to unlock twice. For the OFF setting, turning it once unlocks all doors. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto Lock ON*1
        OFF*2        		 Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto Lock/Shift ON*2
        OFF*1        		 Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved to select another shift state with park (P) selected, the power switch on (READY) and all doors closed. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto Unlock/Shift ON Function that unlocks all doors when the P position switch (transmission shift main switch) is pushed with a shift state other than park (P) selected and the power switch on (READY). ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        All Unlock/Open-Close OFF Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver door is opened within approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned off. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)

    2. Customizing with the multi-display (w/ Multi-display) (except Korea)
      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle Customization / Door Lock Setting.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        Auto Lock by Speed Off Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level. On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto Lock by Shift from P On Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved to select another shift state with park (P) selected, the power switch on (READY) and all doors closed. On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto Unlock by Shift to P On Function that unlocks all doors when the P position switch (transmission shift main switch) is pushed with a shift state other than park (P) selected and the power switch on (READY). On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto Unlock by Driver Door Off Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver door is opened within approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned off. On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
    3. Customizing with the multi-display (w/ Multi-display) (for Korea)
      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle customization / Door lock setting.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        Speed sensitive auto locking On Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level. On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto lock by shift from P Off Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved to select another shift state with park (P) selected, the power switch on (READY) and all doors closed. On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto unlock by shift to P On Function that unlocks all doors when the P position switch (transmission shift main switch) is pushed with a shift state other than park (P) selected and the power switch on (READY). On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Auto unlock by driver door Off Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver door is opened within approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned off. On or Off Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
    4. Customizing with the combination meter assembly (w/o Multi-display)

      HINT: 

      • Press and hold the DISP switch (steering pad switch assembly) when entering an item.
      • Briefly press the DISP switch (steering pad switch assembly) when selecting an item.
      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: Settings / Vehicle Settings
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below
        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        SPEED SENSITIVE AUTO. LOCK ON*1
        OFF*2        		 Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        SHIFT-LINKED AUTOMATIC LOCK ON*2
        OFF*1        		 Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved to select another shift state with park (P) selected, the power switch on (READY) and all doors closed. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        SHIFT-LINKED AUTOMATIC UNLOCK ON Function that unlocks all doors when the P position switch (transmission shift main switch) is pushed with a shift state other than park (P) selected and the power switch on (READY). ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        DRIVER DOOR-LINKED UNLOCK OFF Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver door is opened within approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned off. ON or OFF Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)

      4. Press and hold the DISP switch (steering pad switch assembly).
      5. The setting completion screen will be displayed.
      6. Return to the item selection screen.
