Precaution [09/2014 - ]

  1. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot the smart access system with push-button start (for Start Function):

      Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and turn a door courtesy light on and off at 1.5 second or less intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins (the Techstream screen changes when communication begins).

  2. PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION 
    1. If replacing any of the following parts, refer to the registration procedures (Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to REGISTRATION [10/2015 - ] ).
      1. Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
      2. Steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly)
      3. ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)
      4. ECM
      5. Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly
      6. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
      7. DCM (telematics transceiver)*
        1. *: for Lexus Enform Remote Compatible Type
    2. If the certification ECU is replaced, the engine may not be able to start because the recorded lock position may not match the recorded lock position in the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly). After replacing the certification ECU, perform the following procedure.
      1. Move the shift lever to P.
      2. With the engine switch off, open and close the driver door, and then start the engine.
