How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. INSPECT MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY* 
    1. Adjust the reflector height.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2015 - ]

    2. Place the reflector.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2015 - ]

    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    5. Turn the Techstream on.
    6. Turn the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF) on.
    7. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Utility / Front Beam Axis Misalignment Reading.
    8. Check the amount of misalignment and make a note.
    9. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Utility / Front Beam Axis Offset Reading.
    10. Check the amount of misalignment and make a note.

      Result

  4. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check that the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2015 - ]

      CAN communication system DTCs are output B

    Result:  2

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ]

  5. CHECK FOR DTCs (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM) 

    Refer to DTC Check / Clear.

    DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Clear the DTCs.
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by duplicating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.

      Result

      DTC does not reoccur A
      DTC reoccurs B

    Result:  2

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2014 - ]

  6. CHECK FOR DTCs (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM) 

    Refer to DTC Check / Clear.

    DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ] 

    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Clear the DTCs.
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by duplicating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.

    Result:  2

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2015 - ]
