DTC B2788: IG2 Signal Malfunction [04/2013 - 09/2022]: Procedure

1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
2. Disconnect the K28 steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   K28-1 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

4. Reconnect the K28 steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) connector.
5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   K28-6 (IG2) - K28-1 (GND)	Engine switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V
   K28-6 (IG2) - K28-1 (GND)	Engine switch off	Below 1 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [04/2013 - ]
