DTC P2119: Throttle Actuator Control Throttle Body Range / Performance [04/2013 - 10/2017]: Procedure
- CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2119)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read the DTCs.
Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

Result Proceed to DTC P2119 is output A DTC P2119 and other DTCs are output B HINT:
If any DTCs other than P2119 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (THROTTLE POSITION)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear the DTCs.

Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs
- Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Start the engine.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Gas Throttle / Throttle Position No. 1 and Throttle Position Command.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Throttle Position No. 1 Throttle Position Command - Read the values displayed on the Techstream while fully depressing and releasing the accelerator pedal quickly.

- INSPECT THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (RESISTANCE OF THROTTLE ACTUATOR)
- Inspect the throttle body with motor assembly.

- Inspect the throttle body with motor assembly.
- INSPECT THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (VISUALLY CHECK THROTTLE VALVE)
- Check for contamination between the throttle valve and housing. If necessary, clean the throttle body with motor assembly. Also, check that the throttle valve moves smoothly.

Throttle valve is not contaminated with foreign matter and moves smoothly.
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after cleaning the throttle body with motor assembly.
