- FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, lumbar support, pelvis support, headrest and cushion slide adjustment functions.
- The passenger seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, headrest and lumbar support adjustment functions.
- There is a one-touch function which can store and return the passenger seat from the driver seat. When returning from the storage position, it is necessary to press the switch twice, which is a prevention measure to take into consideration the legs of people sitting in the rear.
- The memory system for the driver seat is provided as standard equipment.
- The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and reproduce the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.
- FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS
The following functions are available.
Components Function Seat slide motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch and slides the seat forward and rearward. Seat reclining motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch, and tilts and reclines the seat. Seat cushion slide motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch and slides the driver side seat cushion. Seat front vertical motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch, and raises and lowers the seat cushion front vertically. Seat lifter motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch, and raises and lowers the seat cushion vertically. Seat lumbar support motor (forward - back) and Pelvis motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch and adjusts lumbar support. Seat lumbar support motor (up - down) Receives signals from the front power seat switch and adjusts driver side seat lumbar support. Receives signals from the front power seat switch and adjusts pelvis support. Seat headrest height motor Receives signals from the front power seat switch, and raises and lowers the headrest. Seat position sensor Is built into each seat adjuster and sends position data to front power seat switch so that it can detect seat positions at all times. Seat control switch Based on switches operated, seat adjuster signals are input into position control ECU and seat is adjusted accordingly. Seat memory switch When SET switch and memory switch are pressed simultaneously, signal is input to front door ECU and seat position is recorded.
Then, when memory switch is pressed, signal is input to front door ECU and seat position changes according to memory. - SYSTEM OPERATION
The front power seat functions which can be adjusted with power seat motors and/or memorized are shown in the chart below.

Then, either the seat position is recorded in memory or a previously recorded seat position is recalled.
