DTC U1119: Lost Communication with Object Recognition ECU (CAN); DTC U1120: Lost Communication with Object Recognition Camera [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (OBJECT RECOGNITION ECU) 
    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Data List (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2015 - ] ).
    2. Check the condition of the "Communication with Object Recognition ECU" Data List item.

      HINT: 

      As the "Communication with object recognition ECU" item monitors the CAN communication condition, distinguishing between a CAN communication malfunction and serial communication malfunction is possible. If a CAN communication malfunction may be present, proceed to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART.

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      "Communication with Object Recognition ECU" is "AVAIL" A
      "Communication with Object Recognition ECU" is "FAIL" B

    Result:  B

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    (Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2015 - ] )

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OBJECT RECOGNITION ECU - OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA)

    1. Disconnect the g1 ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the X18 camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      g1-12 (SGND) - X18-12 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      g1-13 (RX) - X18-14 (TX) Always Below 1 Ω
      g1-14 (TX) - X18-13 (RX) Always Below 1 Ω
      g1-13 (RX) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      g1-12 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      g1-14 (TX) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  OK

    OK

  3. REPLACE OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    1. Replace the object recognition camera (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] ).

    Result:  NEXT

  4. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    1. Adjust the object recognition camera (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2015 - ] ).

    Result:  NEXT

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Code (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] ).
    2. Select "Clear" and clear the data.
    3. Based on the DTC detection conditions, try to simulate the malfunction.
    4. Recheck for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] ).

      OK

      DTC U1119 and U1120 are not output.

    Result:  OK

  6. REPLACE OBJECT RECOGNITION ECU 
    1. Replace the object recognition ECU (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] ).

  7. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    1. Adjust the object recognition camera (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2015 - ] ).

  8. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Code (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] ).
    2. Select "Clear" and clear the data.
    3. Based on the DTC detection conditions, try to simulate the malfunction.
    4. Recheck for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] ).

      OK

      DTC U1119 and U1120 are not output.
