DTC C1A40: ENG / EHV Device [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
5. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 05/2019]

   Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

   Result

GO TO AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2014 - 09/2015]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2015 - 09/2016]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2016 - 09/2017]

1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2017]

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

   Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Clear DTCs 

2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

   HINT: 

   If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

3. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

   Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Trouble Codes
