DTC C1296-96: ABS Malfunction [10/2014 - 05/2019]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 05/2019]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the engine switch off.
3. Drive the vehicle, accelerate to a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more, and check if the speed sensor or acceleration sensor DTC (brake control system DTC) is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 05/2019]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes

REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE (BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2014 - 09/2017]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2017 - 05/2019]

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Data List.
5. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
