Installation [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

    1. Install a new gasket to the engine coolant temperature sensor.
    2. Using a 19 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install the engine coolant temperature sensor to the rear water by-pass joint.

      *a 19 mm Ball Joint Lock Nut Wrench
      *b Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 19.6 N.m (200 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      • When using a 19 mm ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 155 mm (6.1 in.)):

        10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

    3. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
  2. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the water by-pass hose to the rear water by-pass joint and slide the clip to secure it.
  3. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor.
