How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Interview the customer to confirm the trouble. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2015 - ]

  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the vehicle auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [07/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2016 - ] with Central Gateway ECU, Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [07/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2016 - ] without Central Gateway ECU

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ] 
    2. Clear the DTCs.
    3. Recheck for DTCs.
