- WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The wireless door lock control system can be used to lock and unlock all doors from a distance. The system is controlled by an electrical key transmitter sub-assembly which sends radio waves to the door control receiver. The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) performs an ID code identification process and operates the door lock control.
- MULTI CHANNEL FUNCTION
The wireless door lock control system has a multi channel function. Each time the switch on the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is pressed, the channel is switched alternately between 2 different frequencies and the signal is sent to the door control receiver.
- FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS
Component Function Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly - Contains the lock, unlock and glass hatch open switches.
- Transmits weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) to the door control receiver.
- Illuminates the indicator light (LED) during transmission.
Door control receiver Receives weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly via the electrical key antenna and changes the waves to code data. - Front door courtesy light switch assembly LH/RH
- Rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH/RH
- Back door courtesy light switch assembly
Turns on when the door is opened and off when the door is closed. Outputs the door status (open or closed) to the main body ECU. Glass hatch courtesy switch Turns on when the glass hatch is opened and off when the glass hatch is closed. Outputs the glass hatch status (open or closed) to the main body ECU. - Front door lock assembly LH/RH
- Rear door lock assembly LH/RH
- Back door lock assembly
- The built-in motor locks or unlocks the door.
- Transmits the door lock position of each door to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Wireless door lock buzzer Sounds when the door ajar warning function is operating. Certification ECU (Smart key ECU assembly) Sends wireless door lock control signals in response to the code data from the door control receiver and signals from each ECU. - SYSTEM FUNCTION
The electrical key transmitter sub-assembly has lock, unlock and glass hatch open switches. Operating these switches activates each function.
The wireless door lock control system has the following functions:
HINT:
Part of these functions can be customized.
Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [08/2019 - ]
Function Outline All door lock function Pressing the lock switch locks all the doors. All door unlock function Pressing the unlock switch unlocks all the doors. Glass hatch open function Pressing the glass hatch open switch for approximately 1 second or more opens the glass hatch. Chattering prevention function If a switch is pressed, the corresponding switch operation is performed once. If a switch is held down, the corresponding switch operation occurs only once and does not repeatedly activate. When pressing a switch at 1 second intervals, the corresponding operation activates once for every press of the switch. Answer-back function - When the doors are locked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash once and the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.
- When the doors are unlocked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash twice and the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice.
Automatic lock function If the doors and glass hatch are not opened within 60 seconds after they are unlocked by the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, all the doors lock again automatically. Illuminated entry function - When the map light door switch is on and all the doors are locked, pressing the unlock switch causes the interior light illumination to turn on and all the doors to unlock simultaneously.
- If the doors have not been opened, the interior light turns off after approximately 15 seconds.
Panic alarm Pressing the panic switch of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly for longer than about 0.8 seconds causes the following alarms to activate: - Sounds the vehicle horns and security horn.
- Blinks the hazard warning lights.
While the panic alarm is operating, pressing any switch of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly cancels the alarm operation.Door ajar warning function If any door or the glass hatch is open or ajar, pressing the lock switch causes the wireless door lock buzzer to sound for approximately 5 seconds. Memory call function If the unlock switch of a memory call registered transmitter is pressed and the driver door is opened, the following parts move to the memory call position: the front seat, steering wheel and outer mirrors. Self-diagnostic mode If the door control receiver receives normal radio waves from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly when the system is in diagnostic mode, it sounds the wireless door lock buzzer in a normal pattern that corresponds to the function of each switch.
