DTC P0192: Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input; DTC P0193: Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL PRESS) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Gas General / Fuel Press.

      Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Fuel Press
    5. Read the values.

      OK

      3500 to 4500 kPag (idling, warmed up engine).

      Result

      Fuel Pressure (kPag) Proceed to
      Approximately 33000 or higher A
      Approximately 0
      (3500 to 4500)* B

      HINT: 

      *: The value must change when the engine is moving or stationary.

    Result: 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [03/2017 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    *a Front view of wire harness connector
    (to Fuel Delivery Pipe LH (Fuel Pressure Sensor))
    1. Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe LH (fuel pressure sensor) connector.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      J5-1(VC) - J5-2(E2) Engine switch on (IG) 4.75 to 5.25 V
      J5-3(PR) - J5-2(E2) Engine switch on (IG) 3.0 to 5.0 V
    4. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J5-1(VC) - J5-3(PR) Engine switch off 171 to 189 kΩ
      J5-2(E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE LH (FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR). Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - FUEL DELIVERY PIPE LH (FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR)) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe LH (fuel pressure sensor).
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G42-128 (VCPR) - J5-1 (VC) Always Below 1 Ω
      G42-96 (PR) - J5-3 (PR) Always Below 1 Ω
      G42-127 (EPR) - J5-2 (E2) Always Below 1 Ω
      G42-128 (VCPR) or J5-1 (VC) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G42-96 (PR) or J5-3 (PR) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
