Monitor Description
P011A-62:
After the engine has stopped for 5 hours or more, the ECM monitors the voltage of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for cylinder head side). If the difference between the readings of the engine coolant temperature (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for cylinder head side) is higher than 20°C (36°F), the ECM determines that there is a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) circuit or engine coolant temperature sensor (for cylinder head side) circuit, and stores a DTC and illuminates the MIL.

After the engine has stopped for 5 hours or more, the ECM monitors the voltage of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for inlet side). If the difference between the readings of the engine coolant temperature (for outlet side) and engine coolant temperature sensor (for inlet side) is higher than 20°C (36°F), the ECM determines that there is a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor (for outlet side) circuit or engine coolant temperature sensor (for inlet side) circuit, and stores a DTC and illuminates the MIL.
