Check Mode Procedure [12/2017 - 10/2023]

  1. CHECK MODE: DTC CHECK 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Select "Check Mode" and proceed with checking using the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Pedestrian Protection > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Check Mode
      NOTE:

      Select Signal Check on the Techstream to clear the DTCs (both current and history).

      HINT: 

      • DTCs can be detected more sensitively in check mode than in normal diagnosis mode.
      • Perform check mode inspection when a malfunction in a squib circuit is suspected even after the normal system code is output through normal diagnosis mode inspection.
