Fail-Safe Chart [09/2017 - 05/2019]
- Automatic Cancel Control
HINT:
If any of the following auto cancel conditions are detected while the dynamic radar cruise control system is controlling vehicle speed, the system clears the stored vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system.
CONSTANT SPEED CONTROL MODE:Auto Cancel Condition Warning Fail-safe Deactivation Condition Multi-information Display Master Warning Light Cruise Control Indicator Warning Buzzer Open or short in stop light switch circuit Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer Illuminates Does not illuminate Sounds Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON-OFF). - Problem with stop light switch input circuit
- Problem with cruise control main switch cancel circuit
- Malfunction in the vehicle stability control system
- Communication stop between skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) and ECM

If the following condition occurs, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system (stored vehicle speed is maintained): - Vehicle speed is less than approximately 40 km/h (25 mph) while driving with the dynamic radar cruise control system controlling vehicle speed
- Does not illuminate Illuminates - Cruise control main switch is pushed to +RES Malfunction in SFI system - Illuminates Does not illuminate - Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON-OFF).. If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the ECM cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system (stored vehicle speed is maintained): - Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly sensitivity reduced because of bad weather such as rain, fog, snow, or sandstorm
- Brake control by the dynamic radar cruise control system is temporarily unavailable
- The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is being aligned
- The forward recognition camera is temporarily unavailable
- A system check is being performed after the engine has started
