  1. FAIL-SAFE CHART 
    1. When a malfunction occurs in the system, the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) performs the following fail-safe functions.
      DYNAMIC REAR STEERING SYSTEM FAIL-SAFE OPERATION

      DTC Code Detection Condition Fail-safe Operation
      C1597/43 Lost Communication between VGRS and DRS Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
      C1B01/11 Actuator Angle Neutral Memorization Undone Control is not started.
      C1B02/12 Actuator Angle Neutral Memorization Incomplete Control is not started.
      C1B03/13 Actuator Angle Neutral Malfunction Control is not started.
      C1B04/14 Motor Rotation Angle Sensor Calibration Undone Control is not started.
      C1B05/15 Motor Rotation Angle Sensor Calibration Malfunction Control is not started.
      C1B09/19 VGRS System Malfunction Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
      C1B0A/42 VGRS Sending Message Malfunction Control stops.
      C1B11/21 Short in Motor Circuit Control is not started or stops.
      C1B12/22 Open in Motor Circuit Control is not started or stops.
      C1B13/23 Motor Rotation Angle Not Detected Control is not started or stops.
      C1B14/24 Stroke Sensor Circuit Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
      C1B15/25 Motor Rotation Angle Malfunction Control is not started or stops.
      C1B17/27 Motor Rotation Angle Mismatch (Stroke Sensor) Control is not started or stops.
      C1B18/28 Direct Advance Wheel Angle Standard Deviation Detect Control is not started or stops.
      C1B21/31 ECU Malfunction (CPU) Control is not started or stops.
      C1B22/32 ECU Malfunction (Internal Line) Control is not started or stops.
      C1B23/33 ECU Malfunction (Substrate Temperature Sensor) Control continues.
      C1B24/34 Stroke Sensor (Actuator Angle Indeterminate) Control is not started.
      C1B25/35 ECU Malfunction (Flash Memory) Control is not started.
      C1B26/36 Motor Power Supply Voltage Circuit (ECU Start-up) Control is not started or stops.
      C1B29/37 IG Power Supply Voltage Circuit Control is not started or returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
      C1B2A/38 Motor Power Supply Voltage Circuit Control is not started or stops.
      U0100/41 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A" Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
      U0129/41 Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
      U0130/41 Lost Communication with Steering Effort Control Module Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position.
