How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard Voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

    1. Using the Techstream, check the Data List item "Operation Limitation Control History Count" (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2015 - ] ).

      HINT: 

      When "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 1)" and "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 2)" both display a value other than "0", the operation of the following functions has been limited in the past. If the current operation is being limited, perform troubleshooting for the charging system, as "Operation of Electrical items Restricted" will be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.

      1. After performing an inspection, using the Techstream, clear the values for "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 1)" and "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 2)".

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally (Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2015 - 09/2017] or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2017 - 09/2018] or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2018 - ] ).
