Initialization [09/2014 - ]

  1. INITIALIZE FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM 
    NOTE:

    The position sensor initialization must be performed if one of the following occurs.

    • The front power seat switch assembly*1 is replaced.
    • The position control ECU assembly*2, *3, *4 is replaced.
    • The front seat adjuster LH is inspected or replaced.
    • The front seat adjuster RH*4 is inspected or replaced.
    • The power seat reclining motor assembly is inspected or replaced.
    • The lumbar support adjuster assembly LH*2, *3, *4 is inspected or replaced.
    • The lumbar support adjuster assembly RH*4 is inspected or replaced.
    • The front seatback support LH*2, *3, *4 is inspected or replaced.
    • The front seatback support RH*4 is inspected or replaced.
    • The front seatback adjuster assembly*3, *4 is inspected or replaced.
    1. *1: for Driver Side, Standard Seat Type
    2. *2: for Driver Side, Sports Seat Type
    3. *3: for Driver Side, Luxury Seat Type
    4. *4: for Front Passenger Side, Luxury Seat Type
    1. Perform the initialization operation
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Press the front vertical switch of the power seat switch downward 3 times.
      3. Within 10 seconds of the above operation, begin the following operation: perform the rearward reclining operation and upward lifter operation simultaneously for 10 seconds or more (buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds). This will start the initialization.
