Disassembly [10/2016 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o AFS) 

    See step  2

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD (w/o AFS) 
  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET (w/o AFS) 

    See step  4

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER 
    1. Turn the No. 1 headlight back cover as shown in the illustration to remove it.

  5. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Turn the front turn signal light socket with the front turn signal light bulb as shown in the illustration to remove them as a unit.

    3. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.
  6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR (w/o AFS) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

      *a Aiming Screw

      HINT: 

      • Turn the aiming screw until the headlight leveling motor can be moved in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
      • Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.
    3. Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the pin.

      HINT: 

      When removing the headlight leveling motor of the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor in the opposite direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

    4. Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the shaft.

      HINT: 

      Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

    5. Pull out the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration to remove it.
  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING (w/o AFS) 
    1. Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.
      NOTE:

      After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.
