DTC B2300: Disconnection between Auxiliary Battery and Sub Battery Module [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT SUB BATTERY MODULE TERMINAL (+BAT TERMINAL) 
    1. Refer to the following procedures for removing the connector cover from the luggage compartment mat sub-assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

    2. Check the installation condition of the +BAT terminal.

      Result

      If there is looseness, tighten it to the specified torque.

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Check the condition of the No. 1 luggage room wire.

      Result

      The No. 1 luggage room wire is not discolored or corroded.

      *a No. 1 Luggage Room Wire

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P13-1 (+BAT) - 6A-1 (BAT2) Always Below 1 Ω
      P13-1 (+BAT) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      6A-1 (BAT2) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Sub Battery Module > Clear DTCs 

    5. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    6. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
    7. Start the engine and wait for at least 3 minutes.
    8. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sub Battery Module / Trouble Codes.

      Body Electrical > Sub Battery Module > Trouble Codes 

    9. Check that DTCs are not output.

      Result
