DTC B264F: Easy Access Buckle Sensor Malfunction [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Clear DTCs 

      Body Electrical > Passenger Seat > Clear DTCs 

      Result

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Passenger Seat > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B264F is not output.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Active Test.
    5. Perform Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Easy Access Buckle Operate the buckle motor OFF, UP or DOWN HINT: 
      Up and down movement does not occur if the arrow is not pressed and held.

  4. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the position control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q39-3 - Q39-7 Always 4.87 to 5.1 V

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result:

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (BUCKLE MOTOR)) 
    1. Disconnect the Q28 position control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q39 front seat inner belt assembly LH (buckle motor) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q28-12 (SSLB) - Q39-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q28-12 (SSLB) or Q39-3 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q28-16 (SGND) - Q39-7 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (BUCKLE MOTOR) 
    1. Remove the front seat inner belt assembly LH (buckle motor).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

    2. Inspect the front seat inner belt assembly LH (buckle motor).

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2017 - ]

      Result

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (BUCKLE MOTOR)) 
    1. Disconnect the Q26 position control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q39 front seat inner belt assembly LH (buckle motor) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q26-10 (BCL+) - Q39-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q26-10 (BCL+) or Q39-4 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q26-4 (BCL-) - Q39-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q26-4 (BCL-) or Q39-8 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2017 - 10/2023]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  8. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (EASY ACCESS BUCKLE)

      Q16-3 - Q16-7 Always 4.87 to 5.1 V

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (BUCKLE MOTOR)) 
    1. Disconnect the Q8 No. 2 position control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q16 front seat inner belt assembly RH (buckle motor) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q8-12 (SSLB) - Q16-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q8-12 (SSLB) or Q16-3 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q8-16 (SGND) - Q16-7 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE NO. 2 POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  11. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (BUCKLE MOTOR) 
    1. Remove the front seat inner belt assembly RH (buckle motor).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

    2. Inspect the front seat inner belt assembly RH (buckle motor).

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2017 - ]

      Result

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (BUCKLE MOTOR)) 
    1. Disconnect the Q6 No. 2 position control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q16 front seat inner belt assembly RH (buckle motor) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q6-10 (BCL+) - Q16-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q6-10 (BCL+) or Q16-4 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q6-4 (BCL-) - Q16-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q6-4 (BCL-) or Q16-8 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
