Auto Up Operation does not Fully Close Power Window (Jam Protection Function is Activated) [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (APPLICABLE LOCATION) 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (applicable location).

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2017 - 10/2023]

  2. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (AUTO UP / DOWN FUNCTION [APPLICABLE LOCATION]) 
    1. Check that each power window moves when the auto up and down function of the multiplex network master switch assembly, power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly (LH or RH) is operated.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2017 - 10/2023]

      OK

      Auto up and down function is normal (applicable location).

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE)

  3. CHECK WINDOW GLASS SLIDING MOVEMENT (APPLICABLE LOCATION) 
    1. Remove the door window regulator.
      1. for Front Door:

        Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2022 - 10/2023]

        for Rear Door:

        Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2022 - 10/2023]

    2. Install the window glass to the door glass run.
      1. for Front Door:

        Refer to REASSEMBLY [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to REASSEMBLY [10/2020 - ]

        for Rear Door:

        Refer to REASSEMBLY [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to REASSEMBLY [10/2020 - ]

    3. Check if the door window regulator operates smoothly.
    4. Check that the window glass slides smoothly when sliding it up by hand.
      WARNING:

      Perform initialization again.

      HINT: 

      Ensure the following: 

      • The window glass fits with the glass run without improper contact or deformation.
      • Foreign matter is not caught in the glass run.
      • The glass run is not misaligned.
      • The belt moulding or roof side rail weatherstrip is not caught.
      • The glass is not tilted and does not catch.

      Door window glass slides smoothly.

    FIT WINDOW GLASS CORRECTLY (REMOVE FOREIGN MATTER CAUSING IMPROPER FIT OR REPLACE PARTS)

    REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]
