Pattern Select Switch Eco Mode Circuit [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK)

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ECO SWITCH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List / ECO Switch.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List 

      Tester Display
      ECO Switch
    5. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition
      ECO Switch ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) condition ON or OFF ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) not operated: OFF
      ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) being pushed and held: ON

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      The display changes according to the ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) operation. A
      The display does not change according to the ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) operation. B
    6. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - ]

  4. INSPECT ECO MODE SWITCH (SATELLITE SWITCH SET) 
    1. Inspect the ECO mode switch (satellite switch set).

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE ECO MODE SWITCH (SATELLITE SWITCH SET). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO MODE SWITCH (SATELLITE SWITCH SET) - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G49 ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to ECO Mode Switch (Satellite Switch Set))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G49-7 (GND) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the G49 ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - ECO MODE SWITCH (SATELLITE SWITCH SET)) 
    1. Disconnect the G64 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G49 ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to ECO Mode Switch (Satellite Switch Set))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G64-20 (ECOS) - G49-6 (ECU) Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      G64-20 (ECOS) or G49-6 (ECU) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the G49 ECO mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.
    5. Reconnect the G64 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG
