Installation [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a spark plug.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

    1. Install the 6 spark plugs to the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf/cm, 13 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

  2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

    1. Install the 6 ignition coil assemblies to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

    2. Connect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.
  3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Install the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Bolt (A) 

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (B) 

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Engage the wire harness clamp to the intake air surge tank assembly.
    3. Install the wire harness to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    See step  3 [09/2014 - 10/2015], or see step  3 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

    See step  4 [09/2014 - 10/2015], or see step  4 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 117 [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 118 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly and spark plug.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]
