How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. PRE-CHECK 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

    2. Check the fuses and relays.
    3. Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.

  3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      HINT: 

      Refer to CAN Bus Check in CAN Communication System.

      1. for HV Model:

        Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2018 - 10/2019] Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2019 - 08/2021] Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2021 - 07/2022]

      2. for Gasoline Model:

        Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2018 - 10/2019] Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2019 - 07/2022]

      OK

      CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      NG (for HV Model) B
      NG (for Gasoline Model) C

  4. CHECK FOR DTCs* 
    1. Using the Techstream, Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes 

    2. Make a note of the output DTCs.

      DTC C1AA800 is output B
      DTC other than C1AA800 is output C

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (C1AA8000). Refer to  DTC C1AA8-00: Front Recognition Camera Optical Axis Misalignment Malfunction [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  5. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check for vehicle control history (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Vehicle Control History (RoB)
    2. Make a note of the output vehicle control history (RoB).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Vehicle control history (RoB) is not output A
      Vehicle control history (RoB) other than X2015 and X201C is output
      Vehicle control history (RoB) X2015 or X201C is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (X2015 or X201C). Refer to  VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  6. RECONFIRM VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY* 
    1. Using the Techstream, clear the vehicle control history (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility

    2. Using the Techstream, check for vehicle control history (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility

    Result: 

    GO TO SYMPTOM SIMULATION. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2018 - ]

  7. RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT* 
    1. Using the Techstream, Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Clear DTCs 

    2. Reproduce the vehicle conditions that were present when the DTCs that were noted were stored.

      HINT: 

      Refer to each corresponding DTC for details on the detection conditions.

      Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2018 - 07/2022] 

    3. Using the Techstream, check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes
