  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Ask the customer about the problems and the conditions at the time the malfunction occurred to make sure the problem symptom was not temporarily caused by radio waves in the surrounding environment.

      HINT: 

      The parking assist monitor display may be temporarily distorted due to radio waves around the vehicle.

      Problem Symptom Cause
      The problem symptom indicates a parking assist monitor display malfunction and the problem symptom cannot be reproduced. The display may be temporarily distorted when the vehicle is close to an object that transmits radio waves, such as a telecommunication tower, an airport or a truck equipped with a transceiver.

  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding.

  7. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  8. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Chassis > Circumference Monitoring Camera Control Module > Trouble Codes 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Circumference Monitoring Camera Control Module > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
