DTC P26C6: Exhaust Flow Control Valve "A" Control Circuit Low; DTC P26C7: Exhaust Flow Control Valve "A" Control Circuit High; DTC P2BF9: Exhaust Flow Control Valve "B" Control Circuit Low; DTC P2BFA: Exhaust Flow Control Valve "B" Control Circuit High [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [03/2017 - ]

    Result: 

    OK 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [03/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK IF DTC OUTPUT RECURS 
    1. Switch connector M5 and M6 on the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly.
    2. Drive the vehicle in accordance with the driving pattern described in the Confirmation Driving Pattern.
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

    4. Read the pending DTCs.

      Result

  3. INSPECT EXHAUST TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY (EXHAUST CHANGE VALVE) 
    1. Inspect the exhaust tailpipe assembly (exhaust change valve).

      Refer to INSPECTION [03/2017 - ]

      HINT: 

      If the result of the exhaust tail pipe assembly (exhaust change valve) inspection shows that the operation of the exhaust change valve is poor, replace the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly and exhaust tail pipe assembly (exhaust change valve) at the same time.

    REPLACE EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - ] 

    Result:

    REPLACE EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY AND EXHAUST TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY (EXHAUST CHANGE VALVE). Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2020 - 09/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2023 - ] 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M5-3 (M+) - G42-25 (EXM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M5-5 (M-) - G42-26 (EXM-) Always Below 1 Ω
      M6-3 (M2+) - G42-55 (EX2+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M6-5 (M2-) - G42-56 (EX2-) Always Below 1 Ω
      M5-3 (M+) or G42-25 (EXM+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M5-5 (M-) or G42-26 (EXM-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M6-3 (M2+) or G42-55 (EX2+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M6-5 (M2-) or G42-56 (EX2-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
