Calibration [09/2014 - 09/2020]

NOTE:
  • When replacing the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU), perform neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration.
  • If the rear steering link assembly or rear suspension is removed and installed, replaced, or adjusted, after performing actuator calibration value initialization, perform neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration.
  1. PERFORM ACTUATOR CALIBRATION VALUE INITIALIZATION
    NOTE:
    • When actuator calibration value initialization is performed, the actuator is forcibly activated. Therefore, raise the vehicle so that the rear wheels can be turned without any load.
    • When actuator calibration value initialization is performed, DTCs are also cleared.
    • If any VGRS system DTCs other than C15C9/76 are stored, actuator calibration value initialization cannot be performed.
    1. Raise the vehicle and position the tires straight ahead.
    2. Turn the engine switch off.
    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    5. Turn the Techstream on.
    6. Enter the following menus: Chassis / DRS / Utility / DRS Off-center Correction.

      Chassis > DRS > Utility

      Tester Display
      DRS Off-center Correction
    7. Follow the Techstream display and perform actuator calibration value initialization.
  2. PERFORM NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION AND MOTOR ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR CALIBRATION
    NOTE:
    • When neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration is performed, the actuator is forcibly activated. Therefore, raise the vehicle so that the rear wheels can be turned without any load.
    • If DTCs other than C1B01/11 and C1B04/14 are stored, neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration cannot be performed.
    • If any VGRS system DTCs other than C15C9/76 are stored, neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration cannot be performed.
    • Make sure that the vehicle speed is 4 km/h (2 mph) or less.
    1. After raising the vehicle, position the tires straight ahead and center the steering wheel.
    2. Turn the engine switch off.
    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    5. Turn the Techstream on.
    6. Enter the following menus: Chassis / DRS / Utility / DRS Neutral Memorization.

      Chassis > DRS > Utility

      Tester Display
      DRS Neutral Memorization
    7. Follow the Techstream display and perform neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration.
