DTC Check / Clear [09/2014 - 09/2020]

  1. CHECK DTC (Using Techstream) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / DRS / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > DRS > Trouble Codes 

    6. Read the DTCs by following the display on the Techstream.
  2. CLEAR DTC (Using Techstream) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / DRS / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > DRS > Clear DTCs 

    6. Clear the DTCs by following the display on the Techstream.
  3. CHECK DTC (Using SST Check Wire) 
    1. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.
      • SST: 09843-18040 
      NOTE:
      • Connect the terminals correctly to avoid a malfunction.
      • Make sure the vehicle is stopped.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. "DIAG DRS" is displayed on the multi-information display and the system starts searching for a malfunction.
    4. If the system is normal, "DIAG DRS FF" is displayed.
    5. If the system has a malfunction, "DIAG DRS XX" is displayed ("XX" is a 2-digit DTC).
    6. Disconnect SST from terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.
      NOTE:

      If there is a malfunction, check for DTCs again after performing repairs and confirm that no DTCs are output.

  4. CLEAR DTC (Using SST Check Wire) 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Using SST, connect and disconnect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3 4 times within 8 seconds.
      • SST: 09843-18040 
      NOTE:
      • Connect the terminals correctly to avoid a malfunction.
      • Make sure the vehicle is stopped.

    3. Check that no DTCs are output.

      HINT: 

      If a problem still exists, DTCs may not be cleared.

    4. Turn the engine switch off.
    5. Disconnect SST from terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.
