DTC C1440: Steering Angle Sensor Unusual Bank Angle Detected [11/2017 - 03/2019]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Clear the DTCs.
Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2017 - 03/2019]
Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Start the engine.
- Perform a road test.
- Check if the same DTC is output.

HINT:
- If the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) determines that the vehicle is being driven at a steep bank angle, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) stores DTC C1440 while VSC operation is temporarily disabled.
- If DTC C1440 is automatically cleared after the vehicle returns to a normal bank angle and no malfunctions are detected, DTC C1440 was not stored due to a malfunction.
