- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS
- Confirm problem symptoms
- Check the functions for which the problem symptoms occur. (Navigation function, audio function, etc.)
- If the malfunction occurs for radio, there is a high chance of the malfunction being caused by external factors.
HINT:
- If the malfunction occurs depending on the location, consider transmission lines, overhead wires, neon signs, trucks or motorcycles, wireless transmissions from vehicles, buildings, etc., as the cause.
- If the malfunction occurs depending on the channel (broadcast station), consider excessively strong radio waves, excessively weak radio waves, poor quality signal, unstable signal, etc., as the cause.

- PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
- Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.
Standard Voltage
11 to 14 V
- Visually inspect for blown fuses, an open or short in a wire harness or improperly connected connectors, etc.
Standard
Not abnormal

See step 4
- Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.
- CHECK CABIN
- Check that condensation is not likely to occur in the cabin and that the temperature is not -20°C (-4°F) or lower, or 65°C (149°F) or higher.
HINT:
- A humid cabin and a rapid change in temperature may lead to condensation. Condensation in the cabin may cause a short circuit.
- The audio and visual system may not operate normally when the temperature is -20°C (-4°F) or lower, or 65°C (149°F) or higher.

- CHECK FOR DTC
HINT:
Using the GTS, check for DTCs.
- Check for DTCs.
- Record the results of any DTCs (latest/confirmed)
Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes
HINT:
- Check the freeze frame data for both latest DTCs and confirmed DTCs.
- If freeze frame data is stored, a snow icon is displayed to the left.
Item Details Latest DTC Indicates the latest malfunction judgment results during the current trip Confirmed DTC Indicates DTCs that have been confirmed
- Record the results of any DTCs (latest/confirmed)
- Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs
- Recheck for DTCs.
- Based on the detection conditions of the DTCs, simulate the malfunction conditions and check if the DTCs are output again.
Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2022 - ]
