Freeze Frame Data [08/2021 - ]

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2024 Lexus ES 350, 2024 Lexus ES 300h, 2024 Lexus ES 250, 2023 Lexus ES 350, and 2023 Lexus ES 300h. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. DESCRIPTION
    1. When a front camera system DTC is stored, the forward recognition camera stores the current vehicle (ECU or sensor) state as Freeze Frame Data.
  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA
    1. Select a DTC to display the freeze frame data.

Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes

    2. Check the freeze frame data for the output DTC.
  3. FREEZE FRAME DATA CHART

    Chassis > Front Recognition Camera

    HV/EV: HV Model
If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
Steering Vibrator Equipped Information Whether steering vibration is installed or not Absent or Present Absent: Not installed
    Present: Installed
If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
Buzzer (Line) Equipped Information Whether or not a buzzer is installed to the forward recognition camera connected by direct line Absent or Present Absent: Not installed
    Present: Installed
If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
Front Recognition Camera Low Voltage Whether low voltage malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Low Voltage or Low Voltage Not Low Voltage If this item is "Low Voltage", the camera may have been temporarily unavailable.
Front Recognition Camera High Voltage Whether high voltage malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not High Voltage or High Voltage Not High Voltage If this item is "High Voltage", the camera may have been temporarily unavailable.
Front Recognition Camera Low Temperature Whether low temperature malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Low Temperature or Low Temperature Not Low Temperature: Approximately -30°C (-22°F) or higher
Low Temperature: Approximately -30°C (-22°F) or less
    • If this item is "Low Temperature", it will display that the camera is temporarily unavailable.
    • If this item is "Low Temperature", X2016 is output in the vehicle control history.
Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 1 Whether high temperature malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not High Temperature or High Temperature Not High Temperature: Approximately 80°C (176°F) or less
High Temperature: Approximately 80°C (176°F) or higher
    • If this item is "High Temperature", the camera will be temporarily unavailable. If this does not improve even if the inside of the vehicle is left cooled for at least 10 minutes, the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
    • If this item is "High Temperature", X2016 is output in the vehicle control history.
HINT: In summertime, the windshield glass may reach 100°C (212°F) or higher
Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 2 Whether high temperature malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not High Temperature or High Temperature Not High Temperature: Approximately 65°C (149°F) or less
High Temperature: Approximately 65°C (149°F) or higher
If this item is "High Temperature", the automatic high beam system will be temporarily unavailable. If this does not improve even if the inside of the vehicle is left cooled for at least 10 minutes, the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
    HINT:
In summertime, the windshield glass may reach 100°C (212°F) or higher
Front Recognition Camera Optical Axis Misalignment (X) Whether beam axis misalignment (horizontal direction) of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Axis Misalignment or Axis Misalignment Not Axis Misalignment Camera beam axis misalignment (horizontal direction) may have occurred for some reason. Confirm that the cause of the beam axis misalignment is not inside the vehicle.
Front Recognition Camera Optical Axis Misalignment (Y) Whether beam axis misalignment (vertical direction) of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Axis Misalignment or Axis Misalignment Not Axis Misalignment Camera beam axis misalignment (vertical direction) may have occurred for some reason. Confirm that the cause of the beam axis misalignment is not inside the vehicle.
