How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage with the engine switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM OR AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM 
    1. w/ Navigation System:

      Refer to the navigation system.

      Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2015 - 08/2019]

    2. w/o Navigation System:

      Refer to the audio and visual system.

      Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2015 - 08/2019]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Navigation system or Audio and visual system is normal A
      Navigation system is abnormal (w/ Navigation System) B
      Audio and visual system is abnormal (w/o Navigation System) C

    Result:

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - 08/2019]

      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - 08/2019]

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] 

      NOTE:

      The parking assist ECU may store the DTCs of the following system. If DTCs other than those specified in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart of the side monitor system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the applicable system.
