- FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical and lumbar support adjustment functions.
- The passenger seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical and lumbar support adjustment functions.
- FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT
The following functions are available.
Components Function Seat slide motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch and slides the seat forward and rearward. Seat reclining motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch and reclines and returns the seatback. Seat front vertical motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion. Seat lifter motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch and raises and lowers the seat cushion. Lumbar support motor Receives a signal from the power seat switch assembly and adjusts the lumbar support adjuster. Seat position sensor Is built into each power seat motor and sends position data to the position control ECU so that the ECU can detect the seat position at all times. Front power seat switch Based on the switches operated, seat adjuster signals are input into the position control ECU and the seat is adjusted accordingly (for driver side).
Directly sends seat adjuster signals to each power seat motor (for passenger side).Power seat switch assembly Directly sends seat adjuster signals to the lumbar support motor. Seat memory switch When the SET switch and memory switch are pressed simultaneously, a signal is input to the main body ECU and the seat position is recorded.
Then, when the memory switch is pressed, a signal is input to the main body ECU and the seat position changes according to memory. - SYSTEM OPERATION
The front power seat functions which can be adjusted with power seat motors and/or memorized are shown in the chart below.
Seat Adjustment Function Driver Seat Passenger Seat Sliding Power and memory Power Reclining Power and memory Power Front Vertical Power and memory Power Lifter Power and memory Power Lumbar Support Power Power For the memory function, the memory switch operation signal is first sent from the main body ECU to the position control ECU via the CAN communication line. Then, either the seat position is recorded in memory or a previously recorded seat position is recalled.
