DTC C1A4A-14: Buzzer Circuit Short to Ground or Open [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Clear DTCs 

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1A4A-14 is not output A
      DTC C1A4A-14 is output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2020 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION CITY BUZZER BATTERY CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the P61 pre-collision city buzzer connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Pre-collision City Buzzer)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      P61-2 (IG1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch off Below 1 V
    3. Connect the P61 pre-collision city buzzer connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION CITY BUZZER - BATTERY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION CITY BUZZER - FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA) 
    1. Disconnect the P61 pre-collision city buzzer connector.
    2. Disconnect the Z6 forward recognition camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P61-1 (BZ) - Z6-8 (BZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      P61-1 (BZ) or Z6-8 (BZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL BUZZER - FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA) 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT PRE-COLLISION CITY BUZZER 

    Refer to INSPECTION [05/2023 - ]

    Result

    Proceed to
    OK
    NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE PRE-COLLISION CITY BUZZER. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]
