Reassembly [07/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

INSTALL CUSHION

Align the center of the cutout on a new cushion to the center of the groove on the tilt motor and attach it in the position shown in the illustration.

NOTE:

Apply the cushion within the application area so that the tilt motor cannot be seen.
Avoid creating wrinkles as much as possible when attaching the cushion.

INSTALL MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU
1. Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.

INSTALL STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR OR UPPER BRACKET ASSEMBLY

NOTE:

If the steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

Temporarily install the steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly with 2 new steering lock set bolts.

NOTE:

Do not overtighten the vise.
Do not clamp the steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly in the vise.

Tighten the 2 steering lock set bolts until the bolt head breaks off.
