DTC P2533-14: Ignition Switch On/Start Position Circuit Low Circuit Short to Ground or Open [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / IGR.

   Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

   Tester Display
   IGR

5. Read the Data List.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   The value of IGR is ON	A
   None of the above conditions are met	B

Result: 

A 

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [12/2017 - ]

1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

OK 

REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   8E-13 or A95-12 (IGR) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher
