Operation Check [09/2017 - ]

  1. INSPECT ASC SYSTEM OPERATION (w/ Adaptive Variable Suspension System) 
    WARNING:

    Check for safety before performing any tests.

    HINT: 

    When the drive mode changes to a mode other than Normal, Sport S, Sport S+ or Customize*, the simulated engine sound stops.

    *: Customize mode refers to when the following conditions are set on the multi-display customize setting screen. [Setup]→[Vehicle]→[Drive Mode Customization]→[Powertrain]→[Power] or [Normal]

    Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [09/2017 - ]

    1. Additional engine sounds inspection (except Customize mode)
      1. Start the engine.
      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch on.
      3. Select the Normal, Sport S or Sport S+ drive mode.
      4. Change the shift position to D, M or R and check that an assist sound synchronized with the engine speed sounds during driving at 6 km/h or higher with an engine speed of 980 rpm or more.

        HINT: 

        Check that the sound changes when the drive mode is changed from a mode other than Eco (non-operating condition), Normal (operating condition), Sport S (operating condition) or Sport S+ (operating condition).

    2. Additional engine sounds inspection (Customize mode)
      1. Start the engine.
      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch on.
      3. Select the Normal or Power customize mode using the multi-display assembly.
      4. Change the shift position to D, M or R and check that an assist sound synchronized with the engine speed sounds during driving at 6 km/h or higher with an engine speed of 980 rpm or more.

        HINT: 

        Check that the sound changes when the drive mode is changed from a mode other than Eco (non-operating condition), Normal (operating condition) or Power (operating condition).

    3. Check intake flow noise generation
      1. Start the engine.
      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch on.
      3. Select the Sport S+ drive mode.
      4. Increase the accelerator position from 10% and hold it between 15% or higher and 70% or less.
      5. Check the intake shock sound when the accelerator position is increased 15% or more within 0.01 seconds from the held position.

        HINT: 

        Check that the sound changes when the drive mode is changed from a mode other than Eco (non-operating condition), Normal (non-operating condition), Sport S (non-operating condition) or Sport S+ (operating condition).

    4. Check exhaust pulsation sound generation
      1. Start the engine.
      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch on.
      3. Select the Sport S+ drive mode.
      4. With the shift lever in D or M, drive the vehicle at 75 km/h or higher.
      5. Check the exhaust pulsation sound when dropping the accelerator position from 80% or more to 0% within 0.18 seconds and the gear position is in 3rd gear or lower.

        HINT: 

        Check that the sound changes when the drive mode is changed from a mode other than Eco (non-operating condition), Normal (non-operating condition), Sport S (non-operating condition) or Sport S+ (operating condition).

    5. SID (S+ sound) sounds inspection
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch on.
      3. Change the drive mode from Sport S to Sport S+.
      4. With the vehicle stopped, check that the SID (S+ sound) is played after changing the drive mode.

      4. Change the shift position to D, M or R and check that an assist sound synchronized with the engine speed sounds during driving at 6 km/h or higher with an engine speed of 980 rpm or more.
