DTC C1280: Engine Circuit Malfunction [05/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Check if the engine control system DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2019 - ]

   Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Proceed to
   Engine control system DTC is not output
   Engine control system DTC is output

Result: 

Engine control system DTC is not output 

REPLACE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2019 - ] 

Result: 

Engine control system DTC is output 

GO TO ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [05/2019 - 07/2020]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2020 - ]
