How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Ask the customer about the problems and the conditions at the time the malfunction occurred to make sure the problem symptom was not temporarily caused by radio waves in the surrounding environment.

      HINT: 

      The parking assist monitor display may be temporarily distorted due to radio waves around the vehicle.

      Problem Symptom Cause
      Both of the following conditions are met: 
      • The problem symptom indicates a parking assist monitor display malfunction and the problem symptom cannot be reproduced.
      • DTC C1622 is output as "Hist" only.*
      The display may be temporarily distorted when the vehicle is close to an object that transmits radio waves, such as a telecommunication tower, an airport or a truck equipped with a transceiver.

      *: DTCs output as "Hist" will not be output again after DTCs are cleared.

  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  4. SYSTEM CHECK 
    1. Check the vehicle specification.

  5. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM 
    1. Refer to Navigation System.

  6. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2014 - 08/2016] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2016 - 11/2017]

  7. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017] 

      Chassis > Advanced Parking Guidance/Parking Assist Monitor > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017] 

      Chassis > Advanced Parking Guidance/Parking Assist Monitor > Clear DTCs 

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by duplicating the detection conditions of the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2014 - 11/2017] 

      Chassis > Advanced Parking Guidance/Parking Assist Monitor > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes
