Front Power Seat does not Operate with Front Power Seat Switch [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT OPERATION 
    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the position control ECU and switch assembly LH.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2017 - ]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      All power seat functions do not operate (for Driver Seat) A
      All power seat functions do not operate (for Front Passenger Seat) B
      One or more power seat functions do not operate C

    Result:

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate). Refer to  One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate [09/2014 - ]  

    Result:

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - POWER SUPPLY) 
    1. Disconnect the b4 and b5 position control ECU and switch assembly LH connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      b4-7 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      b5-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      b5-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      b4-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - POWER SUPPLY) 
    1. Disconnect the a4 and a5 position control ECU and switch assembly RH connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      a4-7 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      a5-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      a5-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      a4-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
